How To: Display GL reports

Summary:
A user has noticed that some GL reports can be printed and/or displayed, but other GL reports cannot be displayed – they can only be printed.  Why?

Details:
The user attempts to display a given GL report, but the system does not allow the display option.  But it does not explain why one report can be displayed while other reports cannot be.  There is no clear reason for the different behavior.

Resolution/Workaround:
The GL report can be displayed unless they contain Dimensions.  Since the Dimension feature allows one report template to create multiple reports during the process, the system does not allow the reports to be displayed.  If it did display the reports, the first report would be overlaid with the second and the second would immediately be overlaid by the third report, etc.  So the user has the option to either print the report or send it to file.
