Article Type:  Problem

Summary:
If a Power User goes into a cell containing a BizInsight function and tries to refresh the data, the following message occurs and the cell contents are cleared:

You may not add the function 'MTDNET' given your current permissions

Details:
A Power User should only be able to refresh a workbook and change cells that contain report parameter values.  This issue is a bug and has been reported for correction in a future release.

Resolution/Workaround:
To workaround this issue and protect your BizInsight reports from inadvertent changes by users.

For each cell that you want users to be able to change, do the following:
1.  Right-click on the cell and choose Format Cells (these are Excel 2007 instructions by the way).
2. On the Protection tab, uncheck the Locked checkbox.
Note:  A group of cells can also be selected and their property updated en masse.

After unlocking all the cells that you want your users to be able to change, do the following:
1. On the Review tab, select Protect Sheet.
2. In the Protect Sheet dialog, click OK.  You can enter a password to really lock down the spreadsheet so that only the user who knows the password can unlock the spreadsheet and be able to change the cells that are locked.

If the provided Resolution/Workaround does not resolve your issues, please contact BizNet Software Support for further assistance.
