Summary:
When installing BizNet’s BizInsight on Microsoft Excel 2003, this error message can be displayed:
This file is not a recognizable format

Details:
Microsoft Patch KB907417 has been released by Microsoft and must be installed in order to run BizExcelerator. Patch KB907417 updates Microsoft Excel 2003 to correct a problem with add-ins using Microsoft .NET framework 2.0.

Resolution/Workaround:
To resolve this issue, Microsoft Patch KB907417 must be installed (for Windows 2000 & 2003 only). The file is included on the BizInsight installation CD and will run automatically with the Setup.exe.

After installing the patch, open Excel and click Tools>Add-ins. If the ‘BizExcelerator for MAS500’ add-in is not visible, click Browse. Navigate to the BizExcelerator client folder, usually ‘C:\Program Files\Biznet Software\BizExcelerator’ and select the ‘xlr8r.xll’ file and click OK.
