Summary:
When opening Excel on a workstation with the BizInsight already installed, this error message can appear on start up:
Unable to connect to database. [bzsource.bin]
Details:
The error is due to an incorrect version of the MSXML parser installed. The BizExcelerator program requires that MSXML 6.1 or higher be installed.
Resolution/Workaround:
Check the MSXML version by clicking on the Control Panel from the Start menu. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs. Find MSXML and click on it. Click “support information” and read the version number. It should be 6.1 or higher. If it is a lower version, such as 4.0, or if there is no MSXML installed at all, use the BizInsight installation CD to install it. The correct file will be found in the Installation folder and named “msxml6.msi”. Double-click on it and follow the instructions.
