Problem: MSXML Parser 6.0 not recognized during installation

Summary:
When running the BizExceleratorSunGard.msi, this message can appear:

The MSXML 6.0 Parser is not installed on this machine. Run the MSXML6.msi file located in the folder “Installation” on the BizNet Insight for EAS Installation CD

Details:
This issue only occurs when trying to install version 3.0 of BizInsight for SunGard EAS on a machine that has a version of MSXML 6.0 that has not been patched. All other components and versions are unaffected.

Resolution/Workaround:
Update the MSXML file. On the BizInsight installation CD there is a MSXML update file that will patch the MSXML 6.0 core services. The correct file will be found in the Installation folder and named “msxml6.msi”. Double-click on it and follow the instructions. When you run the installation again, the message should disappear and you should be allowed to continue with the installation of BizInsight for SunGard EAS.
