How To: Enable a user to see Detailed Description in Journal Entry screen

A user in the accounting department would like to be able to see the Detailed Description on the Journal Entry screen.  Other users are able to do so – what needs to be changed for this user?

There is an option that is assigned to each user’s profile.  To change this option, have the user in question select any existing GL Batch, go to the Journal Entry screen, then select the menu option called 'Journals'.  Then select the menu option called 'User Options'.  There you will see the Default Journal Type, followed by seven other options that can be set - again, this is set for each user.  One of these options is called 'View Detailed Description'.  Set this option to 'Y' to allow the user to view the detailed description on each journal line.
