Info: Using Microsoft Office Excel 2007/2010 file formats with BizInsight for SunGard EAS

Our add-in is compatible with Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and Microsoft Office Excel 2010. However, when Excel 2003 spreadsheets are saved to the new .xlsx file format, a non-existent path is added to the front of the first function in the workbook which causes the function name not to be resolved and a #VALUE error in that cell. As a workaround, customers should continue to use the .xls (97-2003 compatibility mode) file format or save the reports in the newer .xlsb formats rather than the default .xlsx file format. Any new reports created in the .xlsx format are not affected by this issue.
While the system will not prevent you from saving your workbooks in the .xlsx or .xlsm formats, it is not recommended nor is it supported by BizNet Software. Therefore, it is best to avoid saving workbooks in these or similar file formats.
To change the default save format of Excel, navigate to the Excel Options and select the ‘Save’ tab. On the ‘save files in this format’ drop down list choose ‘Excel 97-2003 workbook (*.xls)’ or 'Excel Binary Workbook (*.xlsb)'.
Users who remain on Excel 2003 and will be using BizInsight reports saved in the .xlsb format will need to have the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack installed on their workstations. Information about the compatibility pack and the download can be found here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101686761033.aspx.
If you are upgrading from Excel 2000 to a later version of Excel, the xla reference will need to be deleted from all your BizInsight functions. This can be done quickly by using the Find and Replace tool and selecting the prefix in front of your BizInsight formulas leaving only MTD or YTD(A1,A2,etc…).
