How To: Retrieve data for a different company

When BizInsight is first installed, a default company is specified to be used for all functions and analysis sets.  When a function or analysis set is dragged and dropped into a worksheet, data is retrieved for the default company.   Data can be retrieved for another company simply by changing the company code for that function or analysis set once it has been added to a worksheet.

To change the company for a function or analysis set, drag and drop that object into your Excel worksheet and then double-click the cell to open the Formula Editor.  Once in the Formula Editor, locate the CompanyCode parameter and change the value of that parameter to the company for which you want to retrieve data.  Click OK to close the Formula Editor and the function will update and retrieve the desired data for that company.

 
You may get the following error after making this change:

“Error: .Net SqlClient Data Provider: Could not find server 'mas90_XYZ' in sysservers. Execute sp_addlinkedserver to add the server to sysservers. dataset “
