Error: System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing

Summary:
After installing and configuring BizInsight, the following error occurs when opening Excel:

"Error: System.Xml
BizAddIn.AddinModule error: the add-in has fired an exception"

The details for the error contain the following section:

Exception Message:     Root element is missing.
Exception Target Site: Throw

Details:
This error can occur if the license file is damaged or incomplete.  A common cause of license file corruption is saving it from Outlook Web Access.    Check the license file to see if it is empty or 0KB in size.  This is an indication that the license file is invalid.

Resolution/Workaround:
To resolve this issue, replace the license file with a new copy.  Open the license file with Notepad to confirm that it contains content.  The license file should be 1 KB.
